There are not many people from Switzerland who manage to make it in Hollywood, but Xavier Koller is one of that select band. His film “Reise der Hoffnung” (“Journey of Hope”) won the 65-year-old director an Oscar in 1991 for best foreign language film. There are also not very many Hollywood directors who come home again, but Xavier Koller is again one of them. He and his entire family hopped on a plane back to the Emme valley, to film Emmental and Emmentaler AOC as part of an exclusive project with Emmentaler Switzerland.
