As the Emmentaler Switzerland (ES) trade organisation, our aim is to serve our members’ interests by promoting the precisely defined, natural, original Emmentaler AOP made from unpasteurised milk, and to do so in a way that’s sustainable in the long term. We pursue a consistent corporate image and position this traditional Swiss speciality cheese in the premium segment worldwide.
Our aim is to help our product succeed and achieve a tangible benefit for our members. We do so by helping to shape political, legal and economic outline conditions and by focusing on, and safeguarding, broader interests. We are committed to a profitable high-quality production and maturing of original Emmentaler AOP. We support cheese-making that takes account of the concerns of a natural, eco-friendly farming and dairy industry. We ensure the protection of origin in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of designations of origin; we set out our quality objectives and requirements; and we monitor defined standards.
Our marketing focuses on developing and strengthening the Emmentaler AOP brand. Our aim is to boost consumption, open up new target groups and retail channels, track down and combat counterfeit products, and build up a long-term base of loyal customers both internal and external.
