Hacher finement l\u2019oignon et la carotte. Faire chauffer l\u2019huile dans une grande po\u00eale. Y faire revenir l\u2019oignon et la carotte. Ajouter les tomates, porter \u00e0 \u00e9bullition et laisser mijoter environ 30 minutes. Ciseler 2 \u00e0 3 feuilles de basilic, ajouter \u00e0 la sauce et r\u00e9duire en pur\u00e9e. Saler, poivrer.\r\n\r\nPendant ce temps, pr\u00e9parer les gnocchis. R\u00e2per finement l\u2019Emmentaler AOP. Mettre le fromage, la ricotta, le sel, le poivre, une pinc\u00e9e de muscade et 180 g de farine dans un grand saladier, bien m\u00e9langer le tout. Si la p\u00e2te est encore trop collante, ajouter de la farine jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019elle ne colle plus.\r\n\r\nPorter de l\u2019eau sal\u00e9e \u00e0 \u00e9bullition pour les gnocchis. Rouler la p\u00e2te en b\u00e2tonnets de l\u2019\u00e9paisseur d\u2019un doigt sur un plan de travail farin\u00e9. Couper des morceaux d\u20191 \u00e0 2 cm de longueur. Plonger les gnocchis en petit quantit\u00e9 dans l\u2019eau bouillante et faire cuire jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019ils remontent \u00e0 la surface.
