The World Cheese Awards are an international cheese event and in 2025 will take place in Switzerland for the first time – in the capital of Bern. In honour of the world’s best cheeses, we are creating a feast for the eyes with the world’s most famous cheese: make way for the Emmentaler AOP globe cheese board from the ‘Capital of Cheese’!
Grab a map of the world and a few slices of Emmentaler AOP. Now cut out the continents as you used to in geography lessons – not from paper, but from Emmentaler AOP cheese. Place North America, Europe and Asia in the top half of your globe. Underneath these come South America, Africa and Oceania.
Now mark the North Pole and Antarctica (top and bottom) with a round cracker each. Place two cherry tomato halves to the left and right of each cracker. Garnish the edges of your cheese board with thyme and parsley.
Now comes the most important part: the Swiss flag! It marks the cheese capital of the world and the country of origin of Emmentaler AOP cheese. So there’s no mistaking it: Switzerland is where the really good stuff comes from!
